We seem to be closer to getting Clint home. As far as thoracics and hematology are concerned he is ready to come home, although he will have a number of blood tests, x-rays and the like before he's discharged.
Today a doctor from the rheumatology department came to drain some fluid from his swollen and still painful knee. It will be tested and as long as it is not an infection, they feel he could see them as an out-patient.
We have moved his bed downstairs to the ground floor (thanks to Karen and a strong willing neighbour) and have bought a walker to allow him to move around the house safely. His friend, Victor is going to install grab bars in the ground floor washroom as Clint will be "confined" to the ground floor for a while. I'm sure he'll enjoy holding court in the middle of the living room like a King on his throne!
Will post tomorrow with more details of his discharge.
