THE CHEST TUBE IS OUT!
At last someone from the thoracic team came this evening to take out the chest tube! We all feel much better that Clint doesn't have to haul around the large plastic fluid storage box along with trailing tubing. They took an x-ray tonight, which will hopefully show that the lung cavity is fully drained and the lung has expanded properly.
Clint is still very weak and may have to be in hospital for a few more days yet. Tonight apparently there was a black squirrel under his bed, so he's keeping himself amused (although the witch in the pile of clean gowns in the hall is a bit worrying!)
I'll keep you posted.
Thanks to all those who have visited, phoned and emailed. if I haven't got back to you, my apologies.
This quote is especially for Clint's hospital visitors

If the person you are talking to doesn't appear to be listening, be patient. It may simply be that he has a small piece of fluff in his ear.
