I just wanted to let you know that we've made do with what we have, rather than borrowing a mattress so you can stop scouring your basements, attics and garages!
Clint is gaining strength very slowly and sleeps much of the time, but it's good to have him home. It's great that so many of you want to visit, but some days he's just not up to it and even when he is, the visits have to be very short.
He needs help getting from place to place (such as bed to chair or bed to washroom) using the walker as he's very wobbly and is still not able to get up to a standing position without a bit of help. He hasn't yet attempted the stairs, so is confined to the ground floor until he's stronger.
We make sure there is always someone here with him and we have bought a baby monitor so I can hear him if he calls for me and I'm on another floor of the house (those of you who know me well, will know that I'm very hard of hearing.)
Karen and I spell one another off and when we both need to go out, we have a neighbour who sits with Clint so he isn't alone.
Next week we have several medical appointments and a friend has offered to drive us, as my car is low to the ground and Clint has great difficulty getting in and out of it.
We'll keep you posted.
Words of thanks don't begin to convey what we want to say to all of you who are there for us.
I can no other answer make, but, thanks, and thanks.
