We spent a great weekend at our friend’s cottage in Bobcaygeon. Many thanks to Karen, Marty, Bosco and Maude for a weekend filled with fun, food, laughter and sun. It was just what we needed in between last week’s radiation and Tuesday’s chemo infusion.
We are encouraged that the blood tests done on Tuesday, show the liver numbers either stable, or better than they were when they were done before the last round. Three more weeks of chemo and then they will re-do scans to see how effective it has been and what the next steps are.
Clint seems to have more energy than he did six weeks ago and doesn’t need too much encouragement to go for a walk, especially if the ice cream store is the destination! The doctors have given him permission to eat anything he wants, especially high calorie and protein foods like cheese, cream, ice cream, eggs, mayonnaise, red meat and peanut butter. Trouble is I’m starting to put on the weight Clint is losing, which is not a good thing for me!
I just read something that I think is worth repeating : Cancer is a Word not a Sentence.
