Well today was the second six hour chemo drug infusion. It was a little less daunting than the last one, since we knew what to expect this time and surprisingly enough the six hours seemed to pass by pretty quickly. We were buoyed by the fact that the blood test Clint had today, showed his liver function to be improved enough that they increased one of the chemo drugs.
Clint is feeling a little better each day, his energy levels are improving and we are very optimistic about the treatment so far. He has lost some weight (he says he’s back to his fighting weight), but he's continuing to eat small meals as often as he can and we have added some power bars and boost drinks to supplement his diet.
Thanks again for all the support-it is coming from friends and family all over the world and it really makes a huge difference as it helps us to maintain a positive outlook.
If there is one lesson to be learned from this, it is to live every day to the fullest and enjoy life with all its ups and downs. So, Carpe Diem (that’s Latin for eat fish every day, although my clever sister who is taking conversational Latin classes, would tell you something different!)

Hi
ReplyDeletePleased to hear chemo was not so daunting and that Clint is feeling some benefit from the treatment. You both seem to be doing all the right things. Look after yourselves and keep up the positives.
